This dedication plate was affixed to a new Cross on the steeple of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal church in Russell, ON. Unlike trophy plates where the engraving process removes a colour coating on the metal, this plate was solid brass and will be exposed to the elements. In 50 years it will have a beautiful weathered patina but still be very legible.
